Vidalia onions are the star in this creamy and cheesy onion dip. The Vidalia onion, of which there are several varieties, is a sweet breed of onion historically farmed and harvested in Vidalia, Georgia. In fact, the Vidalia onion is Georgia’s, “official state vegetable.” Vidalia onions are now farmed elsewhere but must meet Georgia state regulations and requirements. Use various other cheeses to customize this recipe.
