Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Lightly grease an 8- or 9-inch square baking pan.
- Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Whisk together milk, maple syrup, eggs, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
- Add liquid mixture to dry mixture and stir until just moistened.
- Pour batter into baking pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Serve warm.
