Grape salad is another variation in the broad fruit salad category. With a creamy “dressing,” this recipe creates a sweet and simple salad. This dish is popular in the South and often appears at holiday meals. Most American grapes are grown in California and the Pacific Northwest. Only a few Southern states grow any grapes of significance. Perhaps the use of brown sugar and pecans in this recipe has made this dish a Southern staple.
