Grilling is an easy way to prepare meats and vegetables. A slight smoky flavor enhances the taste of flank steak in this recipe. Using a marinade—like Worcestershire sauce here—ensures meat stays tender and imparts a deeper flavor. The history of grilling is ancient; cooking over fire predates modern history. Backyard grilling became popular in the United States in the 1950s. Grilling is not only a traditional summer activity, but the accessibility of gas grills makes grilling easy all year long.
