Pastrami is a brined, highly-seasoned meat that falls into the category of cold cuts. Pastrami can be made from different types of meat, although beef is traditionally used. Pastrami is similar to corned beef except that pastrami is smoked, whereas corned beef is boiled. Pastrami and ground beef are a popular culinary pairing all over the United States, though the state of Utah is thought to be where this recipe originates. Adding additional meat to a classic American burger will appeal to almost any burger fan.
