White radish salad, a cold dish, is generally served in small quantities and is one of the most popular Korean side dishes. The simple recipe includes kochukaru, a chili powder that adds a hot spice to many Korean dishes. Musaengchae uses daikon, a large white radish that is in season during the winter. Favorite Korean dishes like this one arrived in America through Korean immigrants.
