Romans first dressed their cabbage with vinegar and spices, making coleslaw an ancient dish. Dutch settlers to America brought coleslaw along in the 17th century and the crunchy salad is now an American staple. Dressings for coleslaw vary and as seen here, signature ingredients can bring new flavors to an old classic. With cumin, lime, and cilantro, this recipe has Mexican flair.
