Cucumbers are a common ingredient in Polish cooking, especially in salads. For mizeria, they are combined with sour cream and dill, two other common Eastern European ingredients. Lemon juice, mint, onions, or parsley also may be added. This salad is usually served alongside a meat dish, or can be used as an appetizer.
