Taco dip was likely the invention of someone who loved tacos so much they decided to make a dip from the ingredients. It is made with a cream cheese and sour cream base that is topped with classic taco toppings. Served with tortilla chips on the side for dipping, it is a quick and easy dish to make as an appetizer or snack.

  1. Stir together the cream cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning in a medium-size bowl.
  2. Spread mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9-inch dish.
  3. Sprinkle the lettuce over the mixture followed by cheese, tomatoes, bell pepper, and black olives.
  4. Serve immediately with tortilla chips on the side for dipping or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
